This is an image of the tern colony at Cemlyn Bay on Anglesey. Its a fabulous spot to watch Sandwich, Arctic and Common Terns but in recent times it has also had regular Roseate Terns and Elegant Tern. On a cold and windy day it can be quite exposed but on this sunny day it was glorious. The terns kept going up en masse as a Peregrine sat on a gatepost at least 400 yards away. The patterns was quite abstract at times and I wanted to capture a little of it here. The original painting is in watercolour but this is a high quality giclee print on museum quality paper.
